Emanuela Lombardo is Senior Researcher in the European Union funded project QUING (Quality in Gender + Equality Policies) at the Complutense University of Madrid. She was also a senior researcher in QUING's predecessor, the European Project MAGEEQ (Mainstreaming Gender Equality in Europe, http://www.mageeq.net). Among her latest publications are "Implementing Gender Mainstreaming in the EU: A Battle of Policy Frames?" (The European Journal of Women's Studies, 2006), "Women in Political Decision-Making and Gender Mainstreaming: Obvious Partners?" (The Greek Review of Social Research, 2006), and the co-authored volume The Making of the European Constitution (Palgrave MacMillan, 2006). Current research interests include gender equality policy in the European Union and Spain, gender mainstreaming, comparative frame analysis of gender equality policies in Europe, Europeanization, and processes of constitutionalism and civil society participation in the European Union.
