Ricardo Court is Visiting Assistant Professor of History at
UW-Madison. He has taught at Fairfield University, lectured at Yale, and has an appointment as a research fellow at the Italian National Research Council (Institute of European Mediterranean History). Court received his Ph.D. in History from UCLA in 2002. His research focuses on Early Modern Mediterranean Europe (especially economics and history of science). He is completing a book manuscript entitled "Ben fidar: The Vocation and Rhetoric of Trust in the Mediterranean, 1514-1640."
