Professor Barlas' recent publications include Etatism and Diplomacy in Turkey, 1929-1939: Economic and Foreign Policy Strategies in an Uncertain World and "Turkish Diplomacy in the Balkans and the Mediterranean: Opportunities and Limits for Middle Power Activism in the 1930s." Her research interests include: Contemporary Turkish History, Contemporary European History, Turkish Diplomatic History from Comparative Perspective, and Turkish Diplomacy in the Balkans and in the Mediterranean. |
