Come early and enjoy a cup of Fair Trade Coffee, compliments of Mr. Massé and Oxfam-Québec.

Mr. Massé will introduce the history and mission of Oxfam-Québec, and will examine its role as a partner in the international civil society community. In addition, he will address the specific nature of Oxfam-Québec’s activism in francophone locales: whether their aim is the implementation of humanitarian aid and sustainable development within the developing world, or the spread of public awareness and fair trade economic practices at home in Québec.

Philippe Massé is Research Consultant to Oxfam-Québec and specializes in national communication networks, and the effective use of Internet Technology in maximizing human development projects in Africa. Oxfam-Québec is a member of the worldwide Oxfam network and undertakes development and humanitarian projects in developing countries, supports sustainable agro-environmental projects, and promotes fair trade economics.
